Goals
Academic freedom is not free, but the cost of not protecting academic freedom is too high to contemplate.
Our Goals:

* To promote and support activities related to the public consideration of issues related to academic freedom.

* To encourage and support the presentation of public lectures on academic freedom.
* To raise funds through donations to support the
above activities.

To achieve its goals the
Academic Freedom Lecture Fund (AFLF) seeks contributions from professionals in the academic arena, private citizens, corporations, and foundations.
Checks should be payable to "AFLF" and mailed to:

P. O. Box 3062, Ann Arbor, Michigan
48103-3062.
Alternatively, checks may be made payable to the "University of Michigan, AFLF" and mailed to the same address -- such contributions will be invested in a University of Michigan account entitled "Academic Freedom Lecture Fund" which is under the joint stewardship of both the Office of the Provost and the Board of Directors of the AFLF, and might qualify for both Michigan as well as federal income tax deductions.

Individuals who contribute become members of the AFLF and will receive information about activities sponsored by the AFLF.

[AFLF is a Sec. 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All contributions to it are tax deductible under IRS regulations. ]
